Like all great rugby clubs the world over, the Exile Football Club was founded above a small bar in Englewood, CO in October of 2020. The clubs initial founders include a handful of ruggers and hooligans: Michael Fealey (current President), Sylver Romero, Mike Howshar, Zach Wilson, and Foster Murphy. Mick Mullens Irish Bar serves as the team's club house and base of operations. The authenticity of Mick's, just like any good Irish bar, lies in the notion that everyone is welcome but not anyone; it is a pillar for community, family, and a home for those who don't have one.
Exile FC got its name from the shared sentiment that the rugby community at large has been done a great disservice by the national governing body and that something ought to be done to fix it. The Exile represents going against the current status quo; its very nature is to be a pillar of community, family and a reminder that rugby in the United States deserves better. For more information please see the Exile State.
